Matushri Pushpaben Vinubhai Valia College of Commerce" is one of the pioneer education institutes in Borivali (west) ,which has completed its Silver Jubilee in Academic Year 2017-2018 and is continuously focusing on up gradation of quality education. It is one among the 16 Educational Institute run by "The Borivali Education Society ".
Its among very few colleges in Mumbai to have a locational advantage of being less than a kilometer away from the railway station, which is a life line of Mumbai. The College is housed in a spacious building with extensive open grounds.
The Matushri Pushpaben Vinubhai Valia College of Commerce (prior which was recognized with the name of“Borivali Education Society”) got affiliated to the University of Mumbai on 16th July- 1993 for the course of B.COM and the first milestone was achieved. In the year 2007 the second milestone was obtained with the introduction of M.Com (Accountancy & Business Management). The objective of imparting quality education in the field of Commerce and Management was further bolstered with introduction of Self Financing course - BMS(Business Management Studies),BBI (B.Com in Banking and Insurance) ,BAF(B.Com in Accounting and Finance) in the year 2011.
In the year 2016 Matushri Pushpaben Vinubhai Valia College of Commerce was able to achieve the Quality Standard for attaining certification of ISO 9001-2008.In the year 2018 the College went for an upgradation in the ISO certification standard and got ISO 9001-2015. In April 2019 the College underwent recertification of ISO 9001-2015.
Borivli Education Society’s Matushri Pushpaben Vinubhai Valia College of Commerce has been granted Linguistic Minority ( Gujarati ) status.
