Students Grievance Redressal Committee

Introduction:
The Students Grievance Redressal Committee is a statutory body established to provide a transparent and fair mechanism for addressing the grievances of students related to academic, administrative, or personal matters. The committee serves as a platform where students can voice their concerns or complaints in a safe and supportive environment. It aims to ensure that students receive timely and just solutions, fostering a positive and conducive educational atmosphere within the institution.
Objective:
The primary objective of the Grievance Redressal Committee is to address and resolve students’ grievances related to academic activities, college administration, discrimination, harassment, or any other issues affecting their academic or personal life. The committee works towards promoting transparency, accountability, and a healthy educational environment.
Functions:

1. Receive Grievances:
   Provide a formal channel for students to submit written complaints or grievances related to academic, administrative, infrastructural, or interpersonal issues.
2. Examine Grievances Fairly:
   Conduct thorough and impartial investigations into the grievances submitted by students, ensuring fairness and confidentiality.
3. Provide Solutions:
   Recommend appropriate solutions and actions to resolve the grievances in a timely manner, in accordance with college rules and regulations.
4. Prevent Discrimination and Harassment:
   Actively address grievances related to harassment, discrimination, or unfair treatment, ensuring the dignity and rights of students are upheld.
5. Promote Awareness:
   Organize awareness programs to educate students about their rights, responsibilities, and the proper procedure for filing grievances.
6. Follow-Up:
   Ensure proper follow-up of the resolved grievances to verify that the solution was effective and satisfactory to the student.
7. Maintain Records:
   Maintain confidential records of all grievances, inquiries, actions taken, and resolutions for accountability and future reference.
